I have lived in L.A. for 10 years, and though the last couple of years were booming professionally, I am ready for a change of scene, and given my politics, I would have no hesitation moving to Canada, especially British Columbia if the right guy came along and there was a way I could take existing job experience as a writer/editor, photographer and teacher and find a way to make a living.
